The Bemba Royal Establishment has sternly warned politicians against using its name to woo voters ahead of the January 20, 2015 presidential election.

In a statement to Mano News yesterday, the Bashilubemba through its spokesperson Washanga Impika Sha-Lubemba warned that it will NOT condone pronouncements which will put the name of the establishment into ridicule.

Washanga Impika has since denied media reports suggesting that he asked UPND president Hakainde Hichilema to recognize Paramount Chief Chitimukulu the designate Henry Kanyanta Sosala once elected as republican president saying he was misquoted.

Meanwhile, Washanga Impika Sha-Lubemba has revealed that police officers that had camped in Chitimukulu since last November have de-mobilized.

On Wednesday, some sections of the media carried out an article indicating that Washanga Impika had requested UPND president Hakainde Hichilema to fulfill his pledge he made at a rally last weekend to recognize Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu.
