Meanwhile, the ruling Patriotic Front in Northern Province has written to Acting Republican President Guy Scott to consider recognizing Paramount Chief Chitimukulu the designate Henry Kanyanta Sosala.
This is contained in a letter signed by PF regional secretary Everist Chela on behalf of the party provincial leadership addressed to Dr. Scott, dated 4th November, 2014 and made available to Mano News last evening.
The party provincial executive committee observed that failure to recognize Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Chitimukulu would result in the ruling party losing support from electorates in the northern region.
The committee said the impasse between government and Bashi Lubemba has caused divisions in the province hence need for the party to re-instill confidence in the people of the Bemba-land ahead of the forth-coming presidential election.
