A traditional leader in Nsama district has appealed to government to investigate the disappearance of 30 bags of fertilizers meant for
vulnerable people in the area.

Chief Nsama of the Tabwa people said 30 out of 1,000 bags of fertilizers belonging to the department of Community Development in the area had reportedly gone missing.

The traditional ruler said it was not clear where the bags of fertilizers had gone.

And Nsama District Commissioner Panji Chilingala has pledged to investigate the matter.

Mr. Chilingala said the fertilizer was meant to benefit the vulnerable people in the area.

He has since warned officers entrusted with the distribution of farming inputs that government will not take kindly to pilferage.

He has since appealed to officers to ensure that the commodity reaches the beneficiaries, saying government will not hesitate to prosecute officers found wanting.
