Sikazwe extols late President Sata

Kasama,  November 10 2014,  ZANIS  —-Northern Province minister Freedom Sikazwe says the untimely death of President Michael Sata is a huge blow to the country as he has left a huge gap that will be difficult to replace.

Mr. Sikazwe said under the leadership of President Sata, Northern Province witnessed numerous developmental projects most of which have been completed for the benefit of the local people.

He named some projects in Northern Province as the Kasama/Mporokoso road, the Mbala/Nakonde road, hospitals, schools and power stations, all of which have been done under a very short period of time.

ZANIS reports that the provincial minister said this in an interview at his office today.

Mr. Sikazwe said the country has been robbed of a great leader in President Sata and the province in particular as he had a heart for the poor and commitment to improving the lives of Zambians.

He described the late president as a determined and focused leader with a vision for the country.

Mr. Sikazwe appealed to the successor to emulate president Sata, saying the late president will be remembered by the people of Northern Province for his great works for many years to come.
