Namwala residents mourn Sata

——Namwala District this afternoon mourned President Micheal Sata at a special interdenominational prayer meeting held at Namwala Holy Parish Church.


Scores of Namwala residents attended the special church service organised by Namwala District Administration and local Churches.


Namwala District Commissioner, Gevar Nsanzya, described the late President Michael Chilufya Sata as a great leader and that Zambians should prayer to God so that peace continues to prevail during this trying moment.


Mr Nsanzya highlighted a number of projects initialised by President sata such as the commencement of tarring of the Monze Niko Road and allocation of an ambulance to the district after many years.


And speaking at the same function Namwala Parish Priest, Fr Cleared Mooya, appealed to Zambians to pray tirelessly so that peace continues to prevail.


Fr Mooya has called on Zambians not to abuse this period by pushing for personal agendas which do not serve interests of Zambians.
