Sichilima’s conduct condemned

Mbala, November 4th, 2014, ZANIS —   Patriotic Front (PF) leadership from Senga Hill and Mbala constituencies have condemned in strong terms the behavior conducted by former  Mbala Parliamentarian, Gaston Sichilima last week.

The  leadership said the conduct of Mr. Sichilima, who is also former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs in the MMD government, instilled fear, panic and insecurity in the people of Mbala.

ZANIS reports that this is contained in a letter addressed to Mbala District Commissioner jointly signed by PF Mbala Constituency chairman, Justin Chitala and his counterpart for Senga Hill, Clemus Sikombe made available tin Mbala district, today.

Mr.  Chitala and Mr.  Sikombe charged that the conduct of Mr. Sichilima was an effluent to breach of security and cause fear and instability in the people of Mbala district if left unchecked.

The duo have requested the government and the security wing in the district to probe and establish the rationale behind his conduct.

But in his defence, Mr. Sichilima said he fired the gunshot to scare away the owls at his Water Front Lodge situated along Lake Chila.

Last week Mr. Gaston Sichilima was arrested and detained for allegedly firing gunshots to celebrate the death of late President Michael Sata.

He was later released him upon payment of admission of guilt fee.
