—–The Zambia Association of Manufacturers (ZAM) says the association has lost an ally and a comrade in arms in the struggle to re-orient the mind-set of the people of Zambia.
Association president, Bright Chunga, told ZANIS in a statement today that President Sata has over the last three years consistently underlined the theme of producing more and buying more of local products.
Mr Chunga noted that President Sata signalled this stance in his foreword to the PF Manifesto and in his statement at the opening of the Second Session of the 11th National Assembly when he reiterated his belief.
Dr Chunga said President Sata always believed that people must rely their efforts more in order to develop their own productive creativity.
He said President Sata argued that the nation must persist in this policy of independence and self-reliance.
Dr Chunga said President Sata believed that it was self-confidence and efforts that would ultimately energise the nation to love with passion and pride in the journey towards inclusive growth and sustainable development.
He said the prayers of the mebers go the First Family and wish them Gods comfort and blessings in this hour of great emotional need.
