——Namwala District Councillors have proposed 18 more polling districts at  the just-ended Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) stakeholders’ meeting for delimitation of  polling districts held at Namwala council chambers.

Namwala Council Chairman, Roist Mubanga, told ZANIS in an interview that the meeting was very successful in that it enabled councillors to make proposals for new polling districts to be submitted to ECZ for approval.

Namwala currently has 57 polling districts which councillors felt that they are not adequate to carter for the growing population.

And Mr Mubanga has appealed to the ECZ to consider delimitation of big wards in the districts such as Ndema and Kabulamwanda.

He said the two wards are very vast and need to be divided so that they add to the existing 14 wards.
