Siavonga civil servants advised against tolerating power-hungry opposition

Siavonga Oct 1/14 ZANIS——-Gender Deputy Minister, Obby Chisala, has warned Siavonga civil servants to avoid tolerating opposition political parties who are hungry for power.

Mr Chisala said this when he met Government heads of departments at the District Commissioner’s office during his tour to sensitize women on how to manage developmental projects in their clubs.

He urged the civil servants to be loyal to the government and to follow instructions given to them.

The Deputy Minister said every department should have a manifesto of the Patriotic Front (PF) so that they do not sway from the development agenda.

“Anyone who will depart from the manifesto will get into trouble. I am urging you in advance, don’t say you were not warned,” Mr Chisala said.

However, addressing the women clubs in Chaanga area, the Mr Chishala assured that government would continue to empower women.

He said government has come up with the empowerment funds of providing equipment such as harmer mills, farming implements, and any other help that could bring sustainable development to women clubs.

He also urged women clubs in Siavonga district to avoid abusing their children.
