Chief Chitoshi of the Lungu speaking people of Mporokoso District has questioned the appointment of Raphael Chipampe Sikazwe as senior chief Tafuna.

His Royal Highness has alleged that Chiefs from the Lungu Kingdom did not follow the right channel in appointing the senior chief Tafuna.

Chief Chitoshi said Raphael Chipampe is not the right person to be on the throne of senior chief Tafuna of the Lungu people.

He has since expressed fear that the state of affairs will bring confusion in the Lungu chiefdom.

And Chief Chitoshi has accused the traditional leaders who appointed Raphael Chipampe as senior Chief Tafuna of being used by some government officials.

On September 8th 2014, Chiefs from the Lungu Kingdom of Northern Province appointed Raphael Chipampe Sikazwe as Senior Chief Tafuna.

This is contained in the resolutions emanating from a meeting held on Thursday 4th September 2014 at Mpulungu’s Mbita Guest House signed by Chief Chitimbwa and made available to Mano News.

Chief Chitimbwa who is the Publicity Secretary of the Lungu Kingdom has since called on government not to entertain anybody claiming to be Senior Chief Tafuna other than, Raphael Chipampe Sikazwe.
