Chinese national arrested for assault
Mansa, August 5, 2014, ZANIS…… Police in Mwense district have arrested a Chinese national for assaulting his Zambian employee.
Dong Jin 46, a Supervisor at Zheng Tai Construction Company that was contracted to construct a Trades School in Musangu area in Mwense district was arrested for beating Baldwin Mutuna ,25, of Musangu village in Chief Lukwesa’s chiefdom.
Confirming the incident to ZANIS in Mansa today, Luapula Province Police Commissioner Malcolm Mulenga said the victim sustained cuts on his left arm.
In another development two people survived separate road traffic accidents in Chembe and Milambo road.
In the first accident, Richard Mumba, 26, of house number 364 New Mufurila survived after the vehicle he was driving a Funcargo registration number ACV 6131 lost control and overturned along Milambo road.
Mr Mulenga said in the second accident, a Nissan Datsun registration number ALM 4404 driven by 31 year old Anthony Bwalya of Lusaka overturned along Chembe -Mansa road after a tyre burst.
