——Losing candidate for Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) during the 2011 elections, Stanford Lizu, has expressed confidence of scooping the 2016 Kabompo East Parliamentary seat.
Mr Lizu said he has done enough for the people of Kabompo East to warrant him winning the seat in 2016 Presidential and General elections.
He expressed his confidence in a telephone interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, saying people of the area want a working Member of Parliament (MP) to steer development in the constituency.
And Mr Lizu has disclosed that he intends to stand on the United Party for National Development (UPND) ticket during the 2016 elections.
Mr Lizu said discussions are under way with the UPND to work together in readiness for the fierce and interesting 2016 general elections for the benefit of the Zambian people.
He said in September this year, he will be in Kabompo again on a fact funding mission to see some of developmental programmes going on in the constituency whether they march with what people want to be done in Kabompo East and the entire North-Western Province.
