Violent behavior divided PF – Mwamba

Chipata, June 19, 2014, ZANIS…Newly appointed Eastern Province Patriotic Front (PF) chairperson Attan Mwamba has charged that violent behaviour of some officials led to divisions that rocked the ruling party in the recent past.

Mr. Mwamba charged that some party officials were violent saying this led to fear among party members especially the women.

ZANIS reports that the PF provincial chairperson said this today when he held a meeting with district party officials in Chipata district.

Mr. Mwamba advised all party members to avoid being violent which he said is typical among some cadres.

He called for discipline and transparency in the manner they conduct their duties.

Mr. Mwamba also advised party officials to follow party constitution and procedures when instituting disciplinary measures on party
members.

And Mr. Mwamba also stated that the party in the province has failed to achieve a lot of things due to jealous.

He stated that due to jealousy, some cadres spoke ill against each other saying this also contributed to the divisions.

He said that the party cannot achieve any significant things unless easterners replace jealous with love.

Meanwhile, former provincial vice lady Theresa Katyoka has commended President Michael Sata for appointing Mr. Mwamba saying this will revive that party which was slowly dying in the province.

Ms Katyoka assured the Head of State that the part will support Mr. Mwamba so that the party wins support from the grassroots.
