Government through the Ministry of community Development Mother and Child health has released about K80 000 for women groups in Nsama district.
Nsama District Community Development Officer Cain Mbambo has confirmed the development to ZANIS in the area.
Mr. Mbambo said eleven women groups have benefited from the funds which are meant to benefit the vulnerable in the area.
He revealed that among the beneficiaries Shikapele, Mupundu, Ipusukilo, Katoba, Kampinda and Chisala women groups.
Others are Mibanga, Mwamona, Kabakalanga, Twikatane and Chalela balanda women groups.
And Mr. Mbambo expressed optimism that the beneficiaries of the funds will use them for the intended purpose.
He noted that the money is meant to uplift the living conditions of people especially the aged and orphaned children in the district .
Mr. Mbambo also encouraged women beneficiaries to use the money as capital and engage themselves in business adventures in order to grow the funds.
