-The District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) in Mporokoso have expressed serious concern over the bad state of roads in the district.

During a consultative meeting which was held at the Council Chamber, the DDCC members demanded that priority must be made in the 2015 National Budget so
that major roads in the area could be worked on.

They complained that roads, like Mporokoso/Kambowe, Mukupa Kaoma to Mulenga Mapesa and Bulangililo to Lupiya needed urgent rehabilitation because they were in a deplorable state.

The DDCC members also appealed to government to construct a modern bus station in the area, saying the population in Mporokoso was fast growing and needed the facility.

They added that the water reticulation system in Mporokoso equally needed urgent attention.

In another development, a 46 year old man has been found dead behind a named Guest House in Mporokoso.

The body of the deceased, who has been identified as Justine Chileshe,
was picked up in the grass behind the same guest house where he was
working as a caretaker.

Mr Chileshe’s remains were buried yesterday and a family member said the cause of death was unknown.
