Lone Kalabo resident pays tribute to govt

Kalabo, Jul 8/14, ZANIS ——A Kalabo resident has praised government for its massive on-going infrastructural developmental projects in Kalabo Central Constituency.

Akufuna Simataa praised government for developmental projects using Constituency Development Funds (CDF) and other resources in his constituency since the Patriotic Front (PF) government came to power.

Mr. Simataa cited the CDF projects as construction works of one by three classroom blocks at Lilambo and Mapungu Primary Schools, a one by two classroom block at Chilele Primary School, single staff houses at Sikundu, Litoma, Lupo, Chauluti and Salao Primary Schools and Liumba Rural Health Centre (RHC) and a mother shelter at Namatindi clinic.

Mr Simataa said other CDF developmental projects were the on-going construction works of a Green Market at Kashitu Main Market in Kalabo Township and the Green Market at Yuka that was recently completed and officially opened.

He mentioned other funded developmental projects as the Kalabo-Mapungu Road that has started with building of ten bridges by the Rural Roads Unit (RRU) and the electrification of Kalenga, Muyumbana, Nang’umba, Mbunde, Keta and Sihole that have been electrified and connected to the national grid under the Rural Electrification Unit (REA).

Mr Simataa appealed to government to also start construction works of Kalabo Township roads as promised earlier.

He said the pleasing developmental projects being experienced failed to take place in the MMD government and paid tribute to the PF government, Kalabo Member of Parliament Chinga Miutu and other stakeholders involved in implementing them, adding that this kind of spirit should continue for prosperity.
