Govt. places priotity in partnership- Mbaulu

Luanshya, July 1, 2014, ZANIS–Government says it places priority in its partnership with religious organizations in providing the much needed social and economic development of the country.

And Safe Zambia Foundation Executive Director Pastor Andrew Kayekesi said the donation would act as a tool in easing the visitation of OVCs and people living with HIV and AIDS in Mpatamato community.

Luanshya District Commissioner Harold Mbaulu says this was because government alone cannot provide to the satisfaction of the communities at any given time, the basic needs of the people.

Mr. Mbaulu says organizations such as Save Zambia are among the many organizations who have diligently supported government in bringing development in the country.

He was speaking in Luanshya today during the handover of 36 bicycles valued at K36, 000 by willow creek a United States church based organization to Save Zambia Foundation for the use by the church care givers to provide mobility in accessing the community.

The District Commissioner thanked Save –Zambia for its various community activities that the organization has continued to render in the district.

Among these activities includes youth’s skills training, educational support to orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC), provision of sanitation and farming inputs to child headed households, OVCs and health care provision for people living with HIV/AIDS, among others.
