Zambia national team defender Emmanuel Mbola says he is studying options following the recent expiry of his deal with Israeli club Hapoel Ra’anana.

Mbola has just completed a twelve month loan stint at Ra’anana from DR Congo club TP Mazembe.

“Right now am not able to give you information regarding my future. But we are in talks with my agent, and as soon as something comes up, you will know.”

Mbola moved to Israel at the start of the 2013/2014 season after leaving FC Porto where he had a one-year deal but was restricted to appearances with the Portuguese giants reserve side.

The 21-year-old defender had a productive season in Israel where he played 28 league games for promoted Ra’anana.

Ra’anana finished fourth in the eight-team relegation playoff round to remain in the Israeli top flight for another season.

Meanwhile, the defender is part of Zambia’s 22-member team that travelled to the United States on Tuesday ahead of Friday’s friendly against Japan in Tampa, Florida.

“I am looking forward to the Japan match because I want to claim my place in the national team,” Mbola said.

“But all this means I want to have enough game time.”
