Constitution

The ruling Patriotic Front-PF has reiterated that it will not be rushed to produce the much talked about constitution.

Reacting to yesterday’s sentiments by opposition United National Independence Party-UNIP that it has been too much of a delay for a constitution which was promised for ninety days, PF Northern Province Secretary; Everist Chela told Mano News that there are some contentious issues that need to be addressed.

Mr. Chela disclosed that the desired constitution will be enacted before the year 2016.

He stated that the PF is on a right track unlike UNIP and MMD who failed to produce a people’s constitution in their 27 and 20 years rule respectively.

Yesterday, the opposition United National Independence Party-UNIP Northern Province Chairperson, Freedom Kafunda charged that it has been too much of a delay for a constitution which was promised for ninety days.
