Ruling Eastern Province PF Provincial chairperson Lameck Mangani says politicking is long gone.
Mr. Mangani says political players in the country should do away with politicking as it only mars development in the counry.
ZANIS reports that the Provincial PF chairperson said this when he received 350 MMD cadres who left their opposition party to join the ruling PF.
This was at Mafuta Primary School ground in Kasenga Ward Three Hundred and Eighty members in Chief Mafuta’s area in Chipangali Constituency.
He welcomed the defectors saying that people in the area should embrace the ruling party which had people’s aspiration at heart.
Mr Mangani noted that the region has always lagged behind politically but it’s time to make amends and move together with the rest of the country by supporting PF.
He stated that the underdevelopment experienced in the area will be addressed adding that, development can only be attained when people work in unison with government.
The Provincial chairperson stated that the needy areas such as schools, roads and health centre’s are cardinal in people’s development.
Mr Mangani stated that the concerns raised by the community in the area to have Mafuta Primary school upgraded is well come and that he will forward them to the relevant authorities because the future of the children in the area is dependent on sound education system.
He stated that there is also need for concerted efforts to make follow-ups from the relevant authorities to ascertain the position.
Earlier, Speaking on behalf of Chief Mafuta, Induna Patrick Kamutande appealed to government to upgrade Mafuta primary School into a Secondary school to meet the needs of children who cannot afford boarding fees.
Chief Mafuta stated that there are Vulnerable children in the area who cannot afford the fees.
