KK calls for national unity

First Republican President Kenneth Kuanda says national unity remains prerequisite to national development.

Dr. Kaunda says greater appreciation of humanity is critical in fostering national unity.

The First Republican President says Zambians must therefore strive seek unity in diversity.

Dr. Kaunda was speaking on Tuesday when officials from Mahtan Group of Companies visited him at his house in Lusaka’s State Lodge area during celebrations running up to his birthday which falls on April 28.

And Dr. Kaunda says Mahtan Group of Companies Chairperson Rahja Mahtan has added great value to the nation from the time he initiated Finance Bank during his era.

And Dr. Mahtan says the world will live to remember Dr. Kaunda as a gallant icon who liberated Zambia and Africa in general.

Dr. Mahtan has also praised DR. Kaunda’s continued fight against HIV/AIDS.
