The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) says the Patriotic Front government should not have started the constitution review process in the first place if they knew very well that the country has a functional constitution.

EFZ Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza has told QFM in an interview that it is wrong for the Patriotic Front government to have alledgedly lied to the people of Zambia that they will deliver a people driven constitution when in fact they had no plans to do so.

Reverend Mwanza says from the way the PF government is coming out on the constitution, it is clear that they are not committed to delivering a people driven constitution.

He adds that the people of Zambia have lost hope in the PF government, and that they should not be angered any further by being perceived to be yapping for demanding the enactment of new the constitution.

Reverend Mwanza stresses that the PF will pay for their actions unless they give the Zambian people what is rightfully theirs.

Reverend Mwanza has since encouraged Zambians not to relent in their demand for the release of the final draft constitution.
