The Zambia Amateur Athletics – ZAA has selected a 23-member provisional team to take part in the Glasgow Commonwealth games. And ZAA Coach DOUGLAS KALEMBO is confident the Zambian contingent will this year reap a number of medals at the Commonwealth games because of the intensive training the team has undergone. KALEMBO says the Zambian team is physically and mentally ready to compete with athletes from any part of the world. Meanwhile, ZAA President ELIAS MPONDELA said the Zambian athletes will for the first time be camped in Europe to enable them to prepare for the games. MPONDELA said with five athletes already qualified for the games, the Association has put up a strategic training programme to prepare the Zambian team.
