More petitions received for MMD extra ordination convention

MMD Vice President MICHAEL KAINGU says he has so far received petitions from two Provinces calling for an extra-ordinary National Convention to elect new leaders. Dr KAINGU says tomorrow, he is expected to receive two more provincial petitions with the fifth one being delivered on Friday. He has told ZNBC news in a telephone interview that he is expected to hand over the five provincial petitions to party National Chairman KABINGA PANDE. Dr KAINGU says provinces have resolved to go for a convention to elect a new National Executive Committee to lead the former ruling party till 2016. He says in the coming days, more provincial petitions are expected to be sent to Lusaka as the push for the extra ordination convention continues
