Newly elected Patriotic Front (PF) Namando Ward Councilor has died

Newly elected Patriotic Front (PF) Namando Ward Councilor in Luampa District of Western Province Shishau Muthala has died after a short illness.
Luampa Mission Hospital Information Officer Charles Chilano confirmed the death of Muthala today.
Mr Chilano said Muthala who suffered from abdominal pains died on the way as he was being referred to Lewanika General Hospital in Mongu.
And Luampa District Commissioner Alfred Miyato described the deceased as a hardworking man and his death is a great lose to the district.
Mr Miyato said the life of Muthala could have been saved if Luampa was connected to the national electricity grid as the hospital X-lay cannot operate without power.
He has called on the contractors working on the Rural Electrification Authority project to speed up the works as the district has been losing a lot of lives.
Mr Miyato has also called on PF to find another suitable candidate who can continue with project in Namando ward.
Mr Muthala was elected Namando Ward councilor on February 2, 2014 after the former councilor Oliver Muliya resigned to join the civil service.
