UGANDA arrived in the country yesterday for tomorrow’s international friendly match against the Chipolopolo with coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic expecting a positive result.
A confident 15-member Uganda squad touched down around 13:45 hours at the Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola aboard an Ethiopian Airliner.
Speaking upon arrival, the Serbian born coach saying the Cranes were in the country expecting a good result when they face the Chipolopolo at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Sredojevic said the Chipolopolo would be a good test for his Ugandan side ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) preliminary round of qualifiers.
He said Zambia was a respectable team on the continent and that it would  not be an easy task to beat them on home turf but that his technical bench would  have to apply the right tactics to sink the Chipolopolo.
“I do not belong to the coaches who make predications at the airport that they will win the match. Zambia is one of the pillars of African football and we will do everything possible on the pitch to collect a better result.
“I am glad that we are playing a friendly because this is the type of friendly that we wanted and we will do our best,” he said.
And Sredojevic he would not cry about the absence of the Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) trio of Brian Majwega, Ivan Ntege and Tony Odur, who were named in the initial Cranes squad.
He said the KCCA stars, who featured in their team’s 2-2 draw against Nkana on Saturday in the CAF Champions League, had since been replaced.
