Zambia striker Jonas Sakuwaha says he is very motivated after scoring a goal in TP Mazembe’s 2-0 derby win over Lupopo last Sunday.

Sakuwaha scored Mazembe’s opening goal just before the break and his first for the 2013/2014 season since returning to action late last year for the DRC Congo club following a lengthy injury spell.
“After the goal, I was really moved and happy by the fans reaction who were really waiting for the opening goal,” Sakuwaha told Mazembe’s official website.
“The coach gave me a lot of confidence and I have a lot of motivation and ambition this season.
“My aim is to get more game time and secure a starting spot in the team. I would like to thank all my teammates who fought hard to win the derby.”
And Sakuwaha said he hopes the goal will also motivate him to do well in Africa this Sunday when Mazembe kick-off their 2014 CAF Champions League campaign away to Les Astres of Cameroon in Douala.
Sakuwaha joined Mazembe in January 2013 from Sudan club El Merriekh but has struggled with injury at his new club after winning the Sudan league top scorers title in 2011.
