The Zambia Union of Broadcasters and other Information Discriminators (ZUBID) in Southern region has a new executive.
Mercy Gnome is the new Chairperson while her vice is Justine Akakulubelwa who has since retained his seat.

The Ngoma-led executive was ushered in Office today in Livingstone

ZANIS reports that ZUBUD General Secretary (GS) Martin Maseka has confirmed in a statement released in Livingstone today.

Mr. Maseka said Wilfred Mukubekube has also retained his seat as Treasurer in a poll he described fair and transparent.

He named the new entrants into the Union as Noble Simfukwe who scooped the position of Secretary, Lillian Kalaba senior trustee, Collins Chama,and Ernest Mandandi as Trustees respectively.

The new executive ushered in today replaces the dissolved interim executive David Miswale that has been in office following the creation of Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Livingstone Station recently.

And Mr. Maseka has urged the new ZUBID executive to provide good ,leadership to their members in ensuring that members are effectively represented.

“Following the dissolution of interim Executive Committee which has been in office since the creation of Livingstone ZNBC Station, a new executive has today been ushered into Office that shall provide good leadership to its members in ensuring that the members are effectively and adequately represented,” Mr. Maseka said.
The ZUBID GS appealed to ZNBC South Branch the services of the Union if they were to benefit more among other things salary negotiations, office matters and loans.
