Lusaka PS calls for development of tourism products

Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Wamunyima Muwana says there is need to develop and diversify tourism products and attractions through innovations and sustainable initiatives in the country.

 

Mr. Muwana says well planned and implemented tourism programmes and projects are vital to achieving meaningful development hence the need to boost tourism in Lusaka Province.

He noted that Zambia’s tourism sector is under-performing and as such, many of the products and services being offered currently should be fully developed.

Mr. Muwana further says there is need to seriously address some challenges which have slowed down the development of the tourism sector.

He was speaking at a consultative meeting on tourism products development at in Lusaka today.

And Lusaka District Commissioner Ashell Kampengele says Zambia’s tourism products are a source of wealth and employment for the communities.
