The Zambian Voice has charged that the country does not need political alliances of frustrated and power hungry people at the moment.

Speaking to Qfm in an interview, Zambian Voice Executive Director Chilufya Tayali says the history of almost all the leaders in the announced alliance is not inspiring with the exemption of Zambians for Empowerment and Development (ZED) leader Dr. Fredrick Mutesa.

Mr. Tayali has observed that when it comes to People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti, he was one of the most alleged arrogant and intolerant Ministers in MMD’s rule adding that the opposition leader had an attitude that was allegedly beyond comprehension by humble citizens.

Mr. Tayali adds that Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) leader Nevers Mumba once participated in an alliance against Levy Mwanawasa and ended up cutting a share for himself from Mwanawasa by becoming Vice President to abandoning his party.

He says as for Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) leader Fr. Frank Bwalya is a priest and priesthood is the best platform one can use to save the Zambian people stating that turning into a politician is seeking power.

The Zambian Voice Executive Director has however stated that Zambia definitely needs some kind of collective efforts to change things for the better.

He says if there is to be t coalition among political parties it should be composed of all Zambians from all social and economic areas.
