Two juveniles nabbed in Chilubi for maize theft

 Police in Chilubi district of Northern province have arrested two male juveniles for allegedly stealing relief maize.
ZANIS reports that  Northern Province Police commissioner Mary Chikwanda confirmed development in Chilubi, yesterday.
Ms Chikwanda explained that the two juveniles aged between 17and 18 both of Kamanda village in Chief Kawanangala’s area in Chilubi district were arrested on Monday this week.
She said this was after the duo where found in possession of 5X 50 kilogram bags of maize which were reportedly stolen from Chaba shed in Chilubi district.
Ms Chikwanda added that the maize in question were among other 2000 bags of maize which were recently distributed to Chilubi district by Government under relief food Programme.
The police commissioner further said the two juveniles have since been detained at Chilubi police cells and they will appear in court soon.
