POLICE in Kabwe have arrested six suspected bandits who included two women for allegedly planning to stage a robbery at Shoprite.
Central Province commissioner of police Standwell Lungu said in an interview in Kabwe yesterday that the incident happened on Saturday around 20:00 hours on Buntungwa Road, a few metres from Kabwe Central Police Station.
“These six people were found some few metres away from Kabwe Central Police Station. One of them attempted to escape and was shot in the leg. He is admitted to Kabwe General Hospital,” Mr Lungu said.
