Zambians for Empowerment and Development (ZED) has echoed calls for Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba to step down from his position in view of the tribunal constituted to probe allegations of abuse of office and breach of Oath of Secrecy against him.

ZED president Frederick Mutesa says it will be in the interest of Mr. Kabimba to step down from his Ministerial position in order to clear himself of the allegations leveled against him.

Dr. Mutesa tells QFM that the principal of stepping aside when one is facing such investigations is to avoid obstructions and ensure objectivity.

The ZED president has however expressed doubt that Mr. Kabimba will consider stepping down from his Ministerial position in view of the fact that the Zambian society is not well ordered for leaders who are being investigated to step down.
