Work as a team, avoid politics – Kafue DC

–Kafue District Commissioner Grace Ngulube has advised the civil servants in the district to work as a team and avoid partisan politics for the district to develop.

 

Ms Ngulube also cautioned those with the tendency of reporting late for work that they should safe guard their jobs by being committed to their duties.

 

Ms Ngulube said this when she addressed government employees in Kafue at her office today

 

Meanwhile Ms Ngulube says the district had some challenges that hindered development last year.

 

She cited the termination of contract on the construction of the youth centre, in roads and drainages as some of the projects which needs attention this year.

 

The District Commissioner has also cited the human-animal conflict in her district as one of the challenges to be addressed.

  

Ms Ngulube added that her office has the mandate to safeguard and monitor all government funded projects in the district and ensure that they are utilised for the intended purposes.

 

 Besides the challenges, the District Commissioner revealed that the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) and the Rural Road Unity (RRU) have released funds for the rehabilitation of the Lukolongo road.

 

In addition, the district received 2000 by 50kg bags of relief maize from DMMU to be distributed to the hunger stricken areas and a grader from RRU.
