K66.7 Million set aside for the modernisation of UTH

University Teaching Hospital (UTH) Public Relations Officer, Mwenya Mulenga has revealed that Sixty six point seven million kwacha (K66.7 Million) has been put aside for the modernization of the UTH.

Mr. Mulenga, says thirty three million kwacha has been put aside for the demolition of the Filter clinic, twenty two million kwacha for the rehabilitation of the road network within the institution while eleven point seven million is for the construction of a four hundred capacity car park.

Mr. Mulenga has told QFM News in an interview that the rehabilitation of the road infrastructure will commence on the 20th January.

Mr. Mulenga says all is set for the works and that the filter clinic will be demolished and moved next to casualty department.

He explains that the parking space for vehicles at UTH has been a nightmare and that it is for this reason that management saw it fit to construct a two storey car park where people can conveniently park their vehicles.
