Livingstone man killed by train

An unknown man of Livingstone was on Saturday hit by a goods train in the tourist capital and died on the spot.

 

Charles Sinyinza, a Zambia Railways police officer, reported that an unknown man was hit by a goods train number 762.

 

Mr Sinyiza said the unidentified man was lying by the rail line opposite Kaazmain Lodge in Livingstone when the accident occurred around 22:00 hours on Saturday.

 

Southern Province Police Commissioner, Charity Katanga confirmed the development to ZANIS in Livingstone today.

 

Mrs Katanga said the body of the deceased has been taken to Batoka mortuary awaiting identification.
