Opposition Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) Leader Edith Nawakwi has accused the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) of deploying vicious cadres to Mansa to cause confusion ahead of the 22nd November Mansa Central parliamentary by-election.

Ms Nawakwi has told QFM News in a telephone interview from Mansa that the presence of the PF cadres in Mansa led by people only identified as Big Joe and Mwanza is pausing danger to the people as they prepare to vote in next week’s parliamentary by-elections.

Ms. Nawakwi says the same cadres are the ones that have been terrifying residents of Lusaka and that the PF has now deployed them to Mansa when the people are busy making informed decisions of who to vote for.

She says prior to the alleged deployment of PF cadres to Mansa campaigns were going on well but that things have now turned sour.

Candidates participating in the Mansa polls are; Chitalu Chilufya of the ruling PF, Charles Mwelwa of UNIP, Malama Kapoplyo of MMD, Albert Mwape of FDD and Rosemary Mwiche of UPND.

The seat fell vacant following the death of former Information Minister, Kennedy Sakeni.
