Insurers hail 2014 budget

IAZ President Shipango Muteto says the association is impressed with the areas government has paid attention to in the 2014 budget citing continued investment in infrastructure development and agriculture as some of the positives which will spur economic growth.

Mr. Muteto notes that for the country to continue flourishing, it needs improved infrastructure and a booming agriculture sector hence government should be commended for the efforts being made to boost the two sectors.

He adds that his association will work with the various agencies mandated with the execution of these government programs to ensure that adequate insurance cover is given for continued sustainable growth.

He has further appealed to the various government wings tasked with the mammoth task of implementing the government programs to open their doors to the insurance industry.
