CSAWUZ welcomes govt initiative on enhancing productivity

Union public relations officer Elphas Munakaila has told Qfm News that the creation of the productivity centre will force lazy workers to increase their productivity.

Mr. Munakaila notes that there is need for civil servants to change their attitudes towards work if the country is to develop to another level.

He however, notes that despite having bad working conditions in the past, civil servants in some parts of the country have been loyal and work long hours without any overtime pay.

Mr Munakaila says for those that do not adhere to the rules of performing well should now begin to check themselves before they are found wanting.

Labour and Social Security Minister Fackson Shamenda has announced that government is in the process of creating a centre to measure productivity levels in the civil service.
