Mulenga back with Black Aces

Zambia international Clifford Mulenga is back at Mpumalanga Black Aces after being released by SuperSport United.

The midfielder will be joined by left-back Danleigh Borman, who was coincidentally also on Matsatsantsa’s books last season.

The duo signed on as free agents to strengthen Clive Barker’s options as the coach looks to keep Black Aces in the Premiership beyond this season.

Mulenga expressed his delight about being reunited with Amazayoni following a stellar campaign with them in the 2009/10 season, when he helped them retain their top-flight status in an intense two-legged play-off clash against Black Leopards.

“I’ve always had soft spot for Aces and I intend both scoring and providing opportunities for the strikers,” he told his new club’s official website.

“Aces is a big team with a great squad and a fantastic coach and the set-up here is very professional.”

Mulenga has signed a three-year deal and will hope to rekindle the form that saw him score 11 goals for the Mpumalanga outfit in his first stint with them.

Meanwhile, Borman has signed a one-year contract with an option to renew.
