Former Patriotic Front PF Southern Province Political Secretary Brian Hapunda has dismissed assertions that that he intends to go back to the United Party for National Development (UPND).

Mr. Hapunda has told Qfm in a telephone interview that in as much as he appreciates the leadership of the UPND and the entire party having worked with them for quite a good number of years, he has no plans of going back to the opposition party.

He says at the moment he does not want to do anything with politics, but wants to concentrate on personal issues of great importance in his life.

Meanwhile UPND Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says despite Hapunda having allegedly insulted Party Leader Hakainde Hichilema and the party, he is still welcome in the party if he wishes to go back.

He says the party does not hold issues to heart, hence Mr. Hapunda is welcome as membership is voluntary.

Mr Mweetwa says the party has no rules or constitution that restricts members but one which disciplines members that violet the party constitution.
