The opposition Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) has commended people in Mkaika constituency in Katete for the good turn out and their expression of wisdom and courage by not being intimidated by the threats that they would be denied development if they voted for the opposition candidate.

ZDDM Vice President, Charles Kafumbo, says voting for the MMD is a source of great pride as it is sending a clear message to the PF that it is not only Zambians in the urban areas who have lost confidence in them but even those in the rural areas who they were sure of cheating with their Don’t Kubeba trick.

Mr. Kafumbo says his party takes advantage of this message to also inform the people of Eastern Province that ZDDM is highly motivated by the support its getting for the 2016 RB come back campaign.

He notes that Chiefs have agreed with them that the fragmented opposition parties in Zambia will need President Rupiah Bwezani Banda as a confident candidate to beat PF President Michael Chilufya Sata.

He has since urged all opposition party leaders in the country to rally behind Rupiah Bwezani Banda in to avoid splitting the vote to the advantage of the PF.
