Open Society Foundation Executive Director, Sunday Chanda, says assertions by opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) that Cabinet must constitute a team of medical experts to examine President Michael Sata are immoral, misplaced and highly malicious.

Mr. Chanda says this goes to confirm that UPND as a party wishes and hopes for President Sata’s ill-health in order for them to get closer to the Presidency.

He notes that wishing President Sata ill-health is inhuman and in the African culture, it is as good as bewitching someone.

Mr. Chanda says Zambia cannot embrace these politics of witchcraft and malice.

He stresses that it is common sense that the 2016 endorsements, done in good faith, by the general membership of the PF are a mark of renewed confidence and faith in President Sata based on evident development across the country.

Mr. Chanda has since advice the opposition to instead prepare to meet President Sata on the Campaign trail in 2016 than expend their energies purveying lies about his health.
