Namwala farming inputs received
Namwala, July 12, ZANIS ——- Namwala District Acting t Agriculture Coordinator (DACO) Martin Skainga has confirmed that the district received fertilizer inputs under the Fertilizer Input Support Program (FISP).
In an interview with ZANIS Namwala, Mr Skainga said that the D compound fertilizer arrived in the district on 3rd July 2013.
He said 4200 by 50KG bags of fertilizer that arrived in the district came from the Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia (NCZ).
Mr Skainga said that this is a good development because the inputs have arrived on time in readiness for the 2013/2014 farming season.
He added that the district expects to receive about 22,500 by 50kg of D Compound.
And some farmers talked to said that they are happy that this year the government has brought in the inputs on time so that people start preparing their fields.
