Chief Sinadambwe bemoans rising cases of cattle rustling in his chiefdom

 

Siavonga, July 4th, 2013, ZANIS —-  A Traditional leader in Siavonga district has bemoaned the high levels of stock theft in his chiefdom.

 

 


Chief Sinadambwe said there was a lot cattle rustling in his chiefdom adding that people are living in fear of their animals being stolen.

 

 

ZANIS reports that the Traditional leader said this  an interview at his Palace in Siavonga District, today.

 

 

He said that most culprits are those from his area adding that they conspire with those from Chirundu.

 

 

 

He added that when people from his area stole they hand the cattle to those form Chirundu to sell.

 

 

The traditional leader added that he is working hard with his headman in ensuring that the act comes to an end.

 

 

He also urged the headmen to be registering any visitors who come in his chiefdom and that his subjects should be notifying their village headman if they have a visitor.

 

 

   The chief said that there was need for his subjects to team up with their headmen and see how best they could resolve the problem of stock theft in the chiefdom.
