Mbala PF raises over KR17,000.00

Mbala, June 4, 2013, ZANIS—The Patriotic Front (PF) in Mbala in the Northern Province has raised over KR17, 000.00 to go towards the construction of the provincial office.

 

The funds were raised during the meet the Minister’ Dinner held at Makungo lodge last night.

 

And government workers have been described as a two sided coin who should work together with the government of the day.

 

PF Provincial chairperson Peter Mwansa was speaking this last night during the party fund raising dinner aimed at meeting northern province minister Obious Chisala .

 

Mr Mwansa said the PF in Mbala wants to draw a line between the party and government so that it stands on its own feet in carrying out party activities.

 

He said government resources should be used to foster projects for national development and called on other districts in the province to take a leaf from what the party has started in Mbala.

 

The PF Provincial chairperson also called for constant interaction with the electorates by way of holding meetings with them to win their confidence to the PF government as divisions will result into the party losing even what it has achieved.

 

And Northern Province Minister Obious Chisala called Zambians to freely express their opinions in matters regarding good governance.

 

The minister who is also Chilubi Member of Parliament said the PF government is ready to work with anyone regardless of their political inclination.

 

Those present at the dinner included Mbala and Mpulungu District Commissioners Best Kabulembe and Juliana Chuzu respectively, Mbala Mayor Winstone Sikazwe and Mpulungu Town Clerk Kennedy Mwansa.
