Veep arrives in Mongu
Mongu, April 19, ZANIS ——–Republican Vice President Guy Scott has arrived in Mongue ahead of tomorrow’s Kuomboka ceremony celebration.
Dr Scott is expected to grace the presitgious annual Kuomboka traditional ceremony celebrated by the Lozi people of Western province tomorrow.
The ceremony commemorates the seasonal movement of the Paramount Chief, the Litunga from the flood plains to higher land hence the name Kuomboka which means ‘getting out of water’.
The Vice President is accompanied by his wife Charlotte Scott, Senior Private Secretary Robert Kamalata and was received by Western province Deputy Minster Obvious Mwaliteta, Gender and Child Development Minister Inonge Wina, other senior government officials and party members.
