–Home Affairs deputy minister Nickson Chilangwa has disclosed that President Michael Sata’s creation of districts is aimed at improving e-governance and service delivery to the people.

And Mr. Chilangwa says 9 out of the 30 newly creates districts are located in western province in order to enhance development in the area.

ZANIS reports that Mr. Chilangwa explained that the creation of new districts is an ongoing exercise meant to enhance socio-economic development and job creation in the country.

He was speaking in Kasempa last night during a special interview at Kasempa radio station as part of his tour of North-Western Province to explain the Patriotic Front (PF) manifesto and meet civil servants.

Mr. Chilangwa who is also Patriotic Front (PF) Kawambwa Member of Parliament further explained that the creation of districts will also improve infrastructure development and other social amenities in areas where there was none.

And Mr. Chilangwa explained that western province received 9 out of 30 newly created districts in order to address some of the challenges caused by under development in the province.

He stated that data from the Central Statistical Office (CSO) indicates that western and luapula Provinces are the poorest in the country hence President Sata’s decision to create districts in order to enhance development.

Mr. Chilangwa implored civil servants to implement government policies in line with the PF manifesto in order to fast track development and other social amenities.

He warned civil servants against frustrating government policies stressing that those who will be identified will be dismissed from the service.

President Sata has created nine districts in Western Province namely Mitete, Nkeyema, Luampa, Mulobezi, and Nalolo.

Others are Sioma, Sikongo,Limulunga and Mwandi districts.
