Late Justice Kakusa to be interred on April 1st

The late justice Tamula Kakusa who died on Wednesday last week will be put to rest on April 1st  at Leopards’ Hill Memorial Park.

 

The funeral will be presided by a valedictory session at the Supreme Court to be followed by a church service at the cathedral of the holy cross at 13:30 hours.

 

Mourners are expected to assemble at the church where a church service and will be held in tribute to the late Justice Kakusa.

 

According to the burial programme obtained by ZANIS , today, mourners leave the funeral house by 12:30 hours in time for a  Valedictory Session at the Supreme Court  of Zambia at 13:00 hours.

At 13:30hrs, mourners will later congregate at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in time for arrival of the late Justice Kakusa’s body.

During the procession,  the widow Alice will lead in paying tribute to her late husband to be followed by the deceased Justice Kakusa’s sister Mrs. Mwanja Kakusa-Zulu and a Dr. Andrew Mbewe.

Mr. Lameck Phiri will read the Eulogy of the late Justice to be followed by bible readings by the children Derrick Kakusa and Martha.

Father Frank Hokola will read the homily to be followed by intercessory prayers a Mrs Rehab Shawa Kaunda and two others.

After the service, the mourners will proceed to Leopards Hill Memorial Park for burial.

The late Justice Kakusa was the first High Court Judge at Chipata High court during the First Republican President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda’s reign.

He died two days after his 70 th birthday on 27TH March , 2013 after an illness. He leaves behind a wife, five children and seven grandchildren.
