PF advised to avoid bickering with MMD, UPND

Chipata, March 13, 2013, ZANIS… Some Chipata residents have complained
over confrontational tendencies exhibited by major political parties
in the country in the recent past.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Chipata today, Trywell Zimba
and John Soko of Mchini compound said that the bickering would affect
the acceleration of development in the nation.

The duo named the three parties as the ruling Patriotic Front (PF),
Opposition Movement for multi Party Democracy (MMD) and United Party
for national Development (UPND).

They stated that it was time for opposition political parties to come
to terms that the party in power was given the mandate by the people
to rule the country adding that there was no need to engage in
unprogressive attacks which would only retard development.

They further stated that the bickering was even noticed in stories
carried by daily news papers and the national broadcaster.

The duo said that there is need for the PF to ignore and concentrate on
improving people’s lives by delivering what they promised the people
during their campaigns before their mandate expires in 2016.

The duo said that people are too expectant of speedy development such
that they are not interested in politicking.

The tow concerned residents  have since advised government to ignore unproductive

attacks from the two opposition political parties because they were retrogressive and would
not move the country forward.
